Empennage — Work Session (2h 31m)
The roof is on! Everything was straightforward and went really well, except for two things.
1: I ran out of clecos. I bought 375 and definitely need more, a lot more. At least another 200, I’d say. I already pulled a bunch out of the tailcone to get the roof done, but every cleco I remove increases the fear that something goes wobbly, or a bracket works loose and falls off. So more are going on the shopping list. I assume the wing will eat a lot of 3/32” clecos too.
2: Two dents in the skin. I have no idea how or when it happened. They’re small, they don’t weaken or distort the structure and can be filled later, but it’s definitely not nice to look at. I think trying to “undent” them would only make things worse, so I’m not even going to try.
